Mais-Stangenbohnen-Silage in der Milchviehfütterung: Akzeptanz und Auswirkungen auf die Leistung

Since maize is an important feed component in the diet of dairy cows but rather low in protein, intercropping with beans could increase the protein content. However, beans are known for their anti-nutritional compounds when fed untreated, which could impair animal health and performance. When maize-silage was substituted with maize-bean silage in the diet of lactating dairy cows, no detrimental effects could be detected in the present study.
