Technische Lösungsansätze für die Weiterentwicklung landwirtschaftlicher Produktionsverfahren

The Institute of Production Engineering is engaged in the analysis, development and assessment of agricultural production methods of crop production, grassland and landscape management as well as animal husbandry production. The objective is to develop agricultural production practices in such a way that an appropriate food and raw material production for human beings and animals is possible while conserving natural resources and considering animal welfare, labour management, and ergonics concerns. The problem will be to investigate the above mentioned and further examples and to combine them to comprehensive agricultural production methods. This goal can be reached only if these investigations are confirmed by production engineering assessment, which has to consider the economics of input-output-ratios (costs, yields, etc.), too. Technical progress also will influence the development of specific and overall agricultural production methods. The use of agricultural engineering techniques to optimized production methods can be reached only if problems are treated and solved by interdisciplinary cooperation.
