Highest Honour of the World Organization for Animal Health for Prof. Thomas C. Mettenleiter

Insel Riems, 25 May 2023. The President of the Friedrich-Loeffler-Institut, (FLI), Prof. Thomas C. Mettenleiter, has been honoured with the Gold Medal of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH, previously OIE). The award ceremony took place last Sunday during the organization’s 90^th General Session in Paris. The award was bestowed by the President of the Council and the General Session of the WOAH, Dr. Hugo Federico Idoyaga Benitez (Paraguay), in the presence of Director General Dr. Monique Eloit.
