Erfahrungen mit der Blauschimmelkrankheit des Tabaks (Peronospora tabacina) in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland im Jahre 1961  : Nach Berichten von Pflanzenschutzämtern und eigenen Untersuchungen zusammengestellt

A survey is given about the occurrence and the control of blue mould disease of tobacco in German Federal Republic in 1961. The disease appeared earlier than in 1960, and was found during harvest-time in nearly all districts and fields. The attack, however, was of minor importance. The damage was estimated to almost 2 per cent of the market value, and proved to be insignificant in comparison with the heavy lasses in 1960. The slight intensity of the disease is referred to infavourable climatic conditions, but foremost to intensive and useful control measures first recommended in 1961. Some relations are noted between the control measures and the disease.
