MRSA in the turkey production chain - highly resistant isolates
During 2010 the national monitoring for zoonotic agents in Germany was conducted to determine the prevalence of MRSA along the food chain. Altogether, 521 isolates from the turkey production chain were sent to the National Reference Laboratory for Staphylococci at the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in the framework of this monitoring for MRSA confirmation and further typing
