Effects of endophytic bacteria P22 and S16 in Populus on the rooting and growth of the relative species plants
Effects of Endophytic Bacteria P22 and S16 in Populus on the Rooting and Growth of the Relative Species Plants / Han Zhixiao,Zhang Zekun,Dong Yan,Yang Minsheng?Agricultural University of Hebei,Baoding 071000,P. China?;Dietrich Ewald?Institude for Genetics and Forest Tree Breeding,Federal research Centre for Forestry and Forest Products?/ /Journal of Northeast Forestry University.-2014,42?7?.-117 ~ 121,125. We isolated Paenibacillus ?P22?and Stenotrophomonas ?S16?from Endophytic bacteria of the hybrid poplar 741. They respectively belonged to Paenibacillus sp. and Stenotrophomonas sp. by 16S rDNA molecular detection. Then,we studied the ability of strains P22 and S16 for promoting rooting and growing on sibling species plants. P22 and S16 remarkably promoted rooting and growing of tissue culture seedlings of Triploid Populus tomentosa and hardwood cuttings of Populus×canadensis Nevaand Salix matsudana. Two strains were plant growth-promoting bacteria, and they might have the functions of nitrogen fixation and inducing generation of plant hormones. The capacity of promoting growth of P22 was more remarkable.
