Brakteentrichome und ihre Beziehung zum Cannabinoidgehalt zweier Faserhanfsorten
Two year field tests with the fibre hemp varieties Felina 34 and Kompolti Hibrid TC showed, that the higher total content of delta-9-tetrahy drocannabinol (THC) and of cannabidiol (CBD) of the bracts of Kompolti Hibrid TC corresponded to a higher density of capitate sessile and capitate stalked glands, accumulating cannabinoids, the lower total content of Felina 34 to a lower density/area of the bracts (2,47 % - 22,1.7 7 % - 15 glands, resp.). Between the content of the individual cannabinoid THC and the density of an individual gland type there was no direct relation. Under the influence of increasing nitrogen fertilisation (in the steps: without N, 60 kg N/ha and 120 kg N/ha) in 1993 the density of the trichomes increased significantly with both varieties, a significant increase of the THC content was not to be observed. But the THC content, especially with Kompolti Hibrid TC, was influenced in the years (1992: 1.06, 1993: 1.38 %), while the total content of THC and CBD as well as the density of the glands was equal in both years. So the density of the glands obviously is not a suitable means for the prediction of the THC content and the psychoactive potential of hemp plants.
