In the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Germany has committed to the mitigation of emissions of greenhouse gases. The convention as well as the EU LULUCF Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2018/841) requires annual reporting of greenhouse gas emissions. The database contains input data and results of the calculation of GHG emissions and carbon sequestration in the Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) sector in the years 1990 – 2023. The data is on a 100 m x 100 m grid over Germany.
