Through the last decades the digitalisation of agriculture has accelerated, and in particular
equipment for spraying application. In this paper two different systems are described.
A Kilter AX-1 spraying robot with image technology, AI and ultra high-resolution spraying system able
to spray individual weeds using SDT (Single Drop Technology) within 6 mm accuracy.
A third-party image technology DAT system assembled on conventional crop sprayers using AI and
sectionwise regulation of level of dose.
The question is raised about how such equipment in use shall be inspected and how SPISE and other
stakeholders may accelerate a suited solution for inspection enabling to consider the spray quality
and reduction in pesticide use. The use of such and similar equipment are strongly increasing, thus
this must be highlighted in order to ensure correct use of also the upcoming new technologies.
