Die Lebens- und Arbeitssituation von Frauen auf landwirtschaftlichen (Öko-)Betrieben in Deutschland

The paper presents selected results of an online survey of women in agriculture, comparing answers from women working on organic farms with all participants. The survey was carried out as part of a larger study of women in agriculture in Germany. The results show a tendency for more women in leadership roles on organic farms, but otherwise similar roles and responsibilities. Whilst the value-based system of organic agriculture potentially offers more possibilities for gender equality this has not (yet) been achieved in Germany.
