The European Farm to Fork Strategy establish, among other objectives, a reduction of 50% of Plant Protection Products (PPP) and 50% of risk of their use by 2030. Risk during PPP application is present in many forms and during different steps of the process. It is clear that it is nearly impossible to acheve a zero level of risk but it is also true that a good combination of best management practices, a good and effective farmer’s training, and a proper and precise selection of the most adequate PPP, will lead onto an important reduction of risk and hazard during PPP use. For this reason, European Commission trough the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) launched an e-learning course focused on Risk Mitigation Measures. This paper shows how this course has been structured following a logical process and using the latest technologies available for an efficient and attractive educational tool. The e-learning course is available at BTSF Academy (www.btsfacademy.eu) under the program Better Training for Safer Food.
