Factors affecting honey bee health are manifold, such as diseases, parasites, plant protection products (PPPs), environmental and socio-economic factors. In this presentation we will briefly introduce the BEEHAVEecotox model and show how the model can be applied to simulate and better understand (semi-)field studies. The model is a suitable and validated tool that mechanistically links exposure and effects and predicts PPP exposure both outside and inside the hive.
