African swine fever creeping to French‐German border
A RECENT outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in domestic pigs on the German-French border is of ‘great concern’ according to animal health experts. The virus was confirmed in the state of Baden-Württemberg in west Germany on 24 May by scientists from the Friedrich-Loeffler Institut (FLI), on a farm containing around 35 adult fattening pigs in an outdoor holding.
