Residues of three neonicotinoid active substances (a.s.; clothianidin, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam) were measured by means of LC-MS/MS following experimental drilling of treated seeds. Samples include plant material and petri dishes with filter collectors from fields adjacent to the drilled field, samples being collected immediately after drilling. Measurements are expressed in µg a.s. /m² and, only for plant material, µg/kg (one separate dataset for each measurement unit plus metadata table). Data result from a series of 13 field trials investigating the deposition of dust with active substances in pesticides from treated seeds in adjacent fields during drilling. Trials took place in Lower Saxony, Germany, from 2010 to 2017 and cover a variety of seed treatment products (Cruiser®, Elado®, Gaucho® FS 350, Gaucho® FS 600, Poncho®, Poncho Pro®), drilled crops (barley, maize, rape, summer wheat, winter wheat), adjacent bee-attractive crops in flowering stage (mustard, rape) and seed treatment qualities (Heubach a.s. values ranging from 0.00067 to 0.09074 g a.s./ha). The work was partly funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) as part of the German Diabrotica research program.
