Agriculture’s external costs are enormous. The study’s intention was to assess these costs economically and to compare organic and conventional agriculture in this sense. Findings from a literature review on agriculture’s external costs show that (1) external costs cannot be assessed completely and exactly but if compared, (2) organic agriculture’s costs are less high than conventional‘s .
