Status quo der kuhgebundenen Kälberaufzucht in Norddeutschland
The separation of cow and calf within 24 hours after birth is a common practice in dairy farming. However, the importance of alternative methods increases in Germany. The implementation of such methods differs very on dairy farms. Yet, little is known about theexact methodology and the marketing strategies of these farms. Thus, we asked farmers in Northern Germany about their cow-calf-contact system and how they market their products.
