An improved sensitivity and specificity for the determination of moniliformin innaturally contaminated cereal flours could be obtained. The Hypercarb columnshowed improved retention capabilities and allowed the separation of moniliforminfrom interfering compounds. As such, the detection of low quantities ofmoniliformin could be demonstrated.
